UIJIN was created by Ryohei Sugawara, Japanese man who has been introducing Belgian beers to Japanese consumers for more than 20 years. Ryohei is one of a few Honorary Knights of the Knighthood of the Brewers’ Mash staff (Belgian brewers’ Guild.) UIJIN in Japanese means simply ‘one’s first battle.’ We would like you to drink this UIJIN as your first choice of drink at every meal.
