Belgium Welcomes the Essence of Japanese Culture and Cuisine:The Debut of 『Japan Fes』

In an exciting announcement, J-Next SAS, in collaboration with the city of Hasselt, Belgium, whichis twinned with Itami City in Japan, is set to host “Japan Fes” at Kapermolenpark in Hasselt. Thisvibrant festival will take place over two days, on Saturday, April 13th, and Sunday, April 14th, 2024,marking a significant celebration of Japanese culture, food, and people.

About Japan Fes

Japan Fes aims to showcase the rich tapestry of Japanese culture through a variety of mediums. Attendees can look forward to indulging in authentic Japanese cuisine, engaging in cultural workshops, and enjoying a series of stage events that highlight the beauty and tradition of Japan.

This festival is not only for the Japanese residing in Euregio but also for Europeans who have an interest in discovering and celebrating Japanese culture.

Adding to the excitement, Dutch YouTuber Ella Freya, known for her travels across Japan and her passion for Japanese cuisine, will grace the event. With her following of over 2.8 million across social media platforms, Ella will bring her unique energy and enthusiasm to Japan Fes, further enriching the festival’s offerings.

Moreover, Japan Fes 2024 is proudly supported by the Osaka Tourism Bureau and will serve as a prelude to the much-anticipated 2025 Osaka-Kansai World Expo. Hosting this year’s edition of Japan Fes a year before the Expo aims to generate excitement and anticipation for what promises to be a landmark event.
