Showcase Your Cosplay: Enter the Catwalk Event at Japan Fes

We’re kicking off the search for participants for the “Cosplay Catwalk at Japan Fes” set to take place on the Japan Fes stage.

The catwalk stage will be set on the Japan Fes stage, and following the event, a photo session will be held right next to the stage. This is your chance to showcase your pride and joy in cosplay! Participation is open to both groups and individuals. Note that each session will have a limit of 10 groups, and if applications exceed this limit, selection will be based on the cosplay work and group composition.

●There will be no rehearsal.

TÁTAKE!-TAIKO

Tátake!-Taiko is an organization established to spread and inherit the art of Taiko drumming. Through lessons, workshops, corporate events, and concerts, they engage in various activities. Their unique method, known as “Shizen Zen,” focuses on natural posture, movement, and relaxation, offering a distinctive approach to the traditional art of Taiko drumming.

Sushi Fumi Maki Sushi Class!

At “Japan Fes,” we are excited to host a “Maki Sushi Class” organized by Fumi, who graduated from the “Tokyo Sushi Academy,” a school for training sushi chefs. The class is open to beginners and is a great opportunity for children and friends to join in the fun together, with up to 12 participants. Why not challenge yourself and enjoy making maki sushi? Sushi Fumi

Chef Fumi Atsumi educated at the Tokyo Sushi Academy, where she earned her Sushi School Diploma in 2016, Fumi mastered traditional sushi preparation techniques. Her expertise was recognized in 2019 with a special certificate, awarded in the presence of the Japanese ambassador. For Fumi, the essence of exceptional sushi lies in the freshness of the rice.

Anisong Singer Hironobu Kageyama to Perform at Japan Fes – A First-Time Performance in Belgium!

We are thrilled to announce that Hironobu Kageyama, a leading figure in the anisong (anime song) industry, will grace the Japan Fes with his presence as a special guest. The festival, set to take place on April 13th and 14th, will feature Kageyama’s debut performance in Belgium, marking a significant moment for both the artist and fans alike.

Hironobu Kageyama is renowned for his iconic contributions to some of Japan’s most beloved anime series. His voice has brought to life anthems such as “CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA” from the Fuji TV anime “Dragon Ball Z” and “Soldier Dream” from the TV Asahi anime “Saint Seiya,” among others. As a pivotal artist in the Japanese anisong realm, Kageyama has shaped the soundtrack of many fans’ childhoods and continues to influence the genre today.

About Hironobu Kageyama

Debuting in 1977 as “Michell,” the vocalist of the shining Japanese rock band “LAZY,” Kageyama left his mark with hits like “Akazukin-chan Goyoujin” and “DREAMER.” His transition to Columbia Records in 1985 introduced him to the world of anime and tokusatsu (special filming) songs, leading to the creation of defining themes such as “CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA” for “Dragon Ball Z” and “Soldier Dream” for “Saint Seiya.” These songs solidified his standing as a leading figure in the anisong industry. Today, Kageyama’s talents span lyric writing, composing, arranging, and producing. He is also the leader of the anisong singer unit “JAM Project,” through which he continues to make a significant impact on the global stage.

This is a rare opportunity to experience the power of Hironobu Kageyama’s performance live in Belgium.
