Hironobu Kageyama
Debuting in 1977 as “Michell,” the vocalist of the shining Japanese rock band “LAZY,” Kageyama left his mark with hits like “Akazukin-chan Goyoujin” and “DREAMER.” His transition to Columbia Records in 1985 introduced him to the world of anime and tokusatsu (special filming) songs, leading to the creation of defining themes such as “CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA” for “Dragon Ball Z” and “Soldier Dream” for “Saint Seiya.” These songs solidified his standing as a leading figure in the anisong industry. Today, Kageyama’s talents span lyric writing, composing, arranging, and producing. He is also the leader of the anisong singer unit “JAM Project,” through which he continues to make a significant impact on the global stage.
